AMA Awarded Small Business Prime Contractor of the Year Award

AMA has been awarded Small Business Prime Contractor of the Year Award for FY2020 at NASA’s Armstrong Flight Research Center (AFRC) in Edwards, Calif.  AMA is the prime contractor on the Engineering and Technical Support Services (ETSS) contract.

The ETSS contract encompasses engineering expertise for research, flight, and mission operations; engineering support for facilities and safety/mission assurance; and support for various technical functions including project planning and control, range support, lab support, and special studies.  

AMA’s nomination is for exceptional performance, responsiveness to a multitude of tasks and changes, meeting all requirements and expectations despite the pandemic, and providing innovative solutions to problems and issues. 

AMA President Dave Bose said, “Our company’s approach on ETSS, the employees we have empowered to manage the contract, and the employees supporting the customer every day, have one thing in common: a total commitment to the NASA mission coupled with an appreciation for the unique and significant role AFRC plays in its pursuit. To a large degree, this award is a confirmation that our commitment has been recognized.”

AMA’s partner INQU, LLC was also recognized by OSBP as AFRC’s Small Business Subcontractor of the Year.

NASA’s Office of Small Business Programs (OSBP) recognized AMA for: 

  • Demonstrating exceptional performance on all its NASA contracts.  

  • Demonstrating experience and leadership qualities allowing its personnel to work collaboratively across NASA organizations and multiple vendors.  

  • Exceling at hiring and retaining highly qualified personnel.  

  • Providing innovative solutions to problems and issues that arise under the contract.  

  • Meeting all customer requirements and expectations despite the pandemic.
