As well as supporting customer needs in software development, AMA licenses its own fast-running, robust, nonlinear engineering-level aerodynamic and simulation tools; these tools ground and compliment computational fluid dynamics (CFD) codes and wind tunnel tests using a fraction of the resources. The MISL3 and MISDL tools are used for aerodynamic analysis, design optimization, and large data base generation required for: flight simulations, control system development, and wind tunnel testing.
