AMA Announces Tom Ozoroski as Director of Systems and Concepts

Dec 6, 2021

Hampton, VA: Analytical Mechanics Associates (AMA), a leading engineering services provider for NASA, is pleased to announce that Tom Ozoroski has been promoted to the position of Director of Systems and Concepts, effective December 1, 2021.

Tom earned B.S. and M.S. degrees in aerospace engineering from Penn State University followed by graduate level coursework and research in planetary geosciences at the University of Hawaii. He began working at NASA LaRC in 1991 supporting the Aerothermodynamics Branch and analyzing the Shuttle Upper Atmosphere Mass Spectrometer (SUMS) experimental data that allowed for determining atmospheric properties and Space Shuttle re-entry aerodynamics.

Tom has contributed to various research projects involving aircraft noise prediction tools and high altitude wind data.  Since 2000, he has been supporting aircraft systems analysis and conceptual design efforts of the NASA LaRC Aeronautics Systems Analysis Branch. Tom joined AMA in 2012 where he has supervised and managed a large, diverse team of engineers, scientists, and code developers who support aeronautics systems analysis research.

Tom has been instrumental in AMA’s growth and support of both the Aeronautical Systems Analysis Branch and the Revolutionary Aviation Technology Branch at NASA LaRC.

AMA’s Vice President of Hampton Operations, Chris Fannin stated, “Tom brings a wealth of experience in systems analysis and leadership to his new role. He is a passionate and energetic leader who is focused on inspiring people and assuring that they are equipped to provide their very best work. Through the long months of remote work, Tom has been attentive to the people in his group, ensuring that they had what they needed, but also keeping in touch as much as possible to mentor, share insights, and contribute to their growth. Tom has a talent for building and leading teams and will expand on this ability as Director for AMA as we continue to grow.”
