ANALYTICAL MECHANICS ASSOCIATES, INC (Hampton, VA) – Analytical Mechanics Associates (AMA) is pleased to announce that Dr. Mauricio Peredo has been named President, effective November 20, 2024.
In his new role, Mauricio will oversee the day-to-day administrative and operational functions of the company. He will also support the CEO in implementing and executing AMA's strategies. AMA’s CEO, John Abrams, stated, “Working with Mauricio is always a pleasure. His ability to understand team dynamics and guide them towards their full potential has made him instrumental to AMA’s current and future success. I look forward to working side by side with him as he takes on the role of President at AMA.”
Mauricio brings 34 years of experience in managing multidisciplinary science, engineering, and technology projects for NASA and other federal agencies. Before joining AMA, he held several leadership roles in various companies, culminating in his position as Chief Operating Officer for a government contractor, where he oversaw an organization of 900 professionals supporting contracts for NASA, NOAA, EPA, USDA, USGS, and NSF. His leadership extends to multiple professional and advocacy organizations, including serving as President of the NASA Goddard Contractors Association, as a founding member and inaugural President of the NASA Goddard Small Business Council, and as a member of the NASA Industry Forum.
Mauricio has over 55 publications and 70 presentations at national and international conferences. He holds B.S. degrees in Physics and Mathematics from the University of Texas, and M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Physics from the University of Wisconsin.
