Vantage Analytical LLC Awarded AFRL SSHINE Contract to Advance Next-Generation Space Technology Development and Experimentation

Lanham, Md. and Hampton, Va. — Vantage Analytical LLC, a joint venture between Vantage Systems, Inc. and Analytical Mechanics Associates (AMA), today announced that it has been awarded the U.S. Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) Space Systems and Hardware Integration for Novel Experiments (SSHINE) contract, a single-award effort that carries a ceiling value of up to $499 million, positioning Vantage Analytical to support AFRL's mission of accelerating the development, integration, testing, demonstration, and operational evaluation of advanced space technologies for the U.S. Air Force and Space Force.


The formation of Vantage Analytical brings together two highly respected and mature aerospace and defense engineering organizations with decades of experience supporting NASA, the Department of War, and other federal agencies.


Vantage Systems, Inc. (Vantage) headquartered in Lanham, Maryland, established in 1992, has provided multidisciplinary engineering, information technology and cybersecurity, integration and testing of space hardware/software, and mission operation support services since inception. For more than three decades, Vantage has supported complex spaceflight and national security missions for NASA and DoD/DoW customers, building a reputation for technical excellence, innovation, and customer-focused delivery


Analytical Mechanics Associates (AMA), headquartered in Hampton, Virginia, integrates engineering, science, IT, advanced analytics, and multimedia and visualization capabilities to solve challenging problems for federal and commercial customers. Since 1962, AMA has supported a broad portfolio of customers leveraging expertise in aerospace engineering, nuclear engineering, scientific research, and program support. 



Together, the two companies offer a powerful combination of complementary capabilities spanning systems engineering, spacecraft development, mission design, flight experimentation, software and ground systems engineering, integration and test, data analytics, and program execution. The joint venture creates a highly capable team uniquely positioned to support AFRL's vision for rapid technology advancement and operational experimentation in the space domain.
