Mr. Anoop Mehta and Dr. Mauricio Peredo Join the AMA Team

Hampton, VA: Analytical Mechanics Associates is pleased to announce that Mr. Anoop Mehta, CPA, CGMA and Dr. Mauricio Peredo have joined the AMA team effective July 12, 2021.  Mr. Mehta and Dr. Peredo will be providing expertise in key areas of business development, strategic planning, and operational improvement across AMA.

During his recent tenure at SSAI, Anoop led the executive management team and oversaw the overall performance of the company, where he had the day-to-day responsibility for managing, planning, and implementing strategic goals. Over his 41-year career, he helped grow SSAI from a two-person company to over 1000. Anoop has actively supported government contracting with NASA and NOAA programs while serving with several volunteer organizations, including the Association of International Certified Professional Accountants Board of Directors and the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA) where he served on the AICPA Business and Industry Executive Committee, the AICPA Political Action Committee, and AICPA Council. In May 2021, Anoop was elected as the Vice Chair of the AICPA and will take over as Chairman in May 2022. Additionally, he is a board member and past president of the Maryland Space Business Roundtable.  Anoop holds a B.S. in Accounting from the University of Maryland, College Park.

Mauricio has 32 years of experience encompassing multi-disciplinary scientific research and technical and program management, recently culminating with his role of Chief Operating Officer (COO) of SSAI. Mauricio has in-depth expertise in business development, contributing to winning hundreds of contracts and grants with a cumulative value in excess of $2.6 Billion, from organizations including NASA, NOAA, NSF, EPA, USDA, USGS, and NIH.  His leadership spans multiple professional and community organizations, including President of the NASA Goddard Contractors Association, Founding Member and Inaugural President of the NASA Goddard Small Business Council, Member of the NASA Industry Forum. Mauricio has over 55 publications and 70 presentations at national and international conferences.  He holds a B.S. in Physics from the University of Texas and a Ph.D. in Physics from the University of Wisconsin.
