Working with government and private industry, AMA has been intimately involved with large scale projects in the field of information technology. Our experience ranges from highly focused custom software development to the design and deployment of nationwide integrated collaborative systems. AMA personnel are trained in the leading information technology software tools and technologies.
Web Based Collaborative Environments
The purpose of large scale collaborative environments is to manage data and allow for analysis and data exploration features all from one, central web-based location. AMA has been involved in numerous web-based collaborative environments supporting the needs of engineers and project managers spanning the country.
Product Data Management Support
A Product Data Management (PDM) system is designed to provide powerful data and product management, analysis, workflow, and display capabilities all in a single web-based system. Many such systems are very large and complicated, and expertise is usually with regard to a certain sub-component of the system. AMA has experience across many levels of the PDM System, including managing data and products, performing analysis on the data, and customizing the PDM system to meet the data management and analysis needs. AMA's primary experience is with the Windchill 6, 7, and 8 PDM systems.
Software Integration and Customization
In almost any technical environment, a suite of tools eventually emerges that become necessary in day-to-day functions. Integrating these tools at some level is inevitable. AMA has experience in a broad range of integration and customization tools and techniques. This includes custom software development, customization of COTS tools, and use of third part integration tools, such as ModelCenter and AML.
Data Architecture
The development of a proper data architecture is often key in the development of an effective solution. The right data architecture can enable effective analysis of data relationships and trends. AMA has supported numerous projects in the development of large scale data models data, utilizing several standard languages for capturing the data, including XML (eXtensible Markup Language) and OWL (Ontology Web Language).
Data Presentation
Gathering, analyzing, and storing the data of a large project only provides part of the overall solution. It is critical that the data can be presented to the users and other stakeholders in an effective and meaningful manner at the proper resolution. AMA has extensive experience in developing solutions for data presentation ranging from auto-generated web based reports to interactive graphical displays.
