AMA has provided LaRC a wide range of space vehicle engineering services for many years. This experience covers all aspects of spacecraft and space mission design including orbital mechanics, craft sizing, operations planning, communications analysis, and custom software development.
Past support has included participation in:
- Revolutionary Aerospace Systems Concepts (RASC): Studies including the Comet and Asteroid Protection System (CAPS) and Hybrid Propulsion Module (HPM).
- Human Outer Planet Exploration (HOPE): Investigate the challenges and approaches for human exploration past the moon and Mars
- Mars Phobos/Deimos Human Mission - Investigate use of Lunar exploration flight systems for human exploration of Mars' moons.
- Near Earth Object Human Mission: Investigate use of Lunar exploration flight systems for human exploration of prominent NEOs.
